Since 2022 the Council has been engaged in reviewing and updating the M.D. of Willow Creek Land Use Bylaw. This ‘made in Willow Creek’ bylaw seeks to address key issues that were identified by council including: simplified regulations to increase accessibility and understanding of the land use bylaw, clearer direction on permitted land uses, simplifying development guidelines to make issuing decisions more transparent and consistent, integrating the former Town of Granum land use bylaw into the MD bylaw, increase the flexibility and adaptability by reducing regulations where not necessary and aligning the bylaw with current planning practices.
The Public Hearing for Land Use Bylaw No. 2025 is scheduled for Wednesday September 10, 2025 at 1:30 pm in the MD of Willow Creek Council Chambers.
